Linwood Lewis, Ph.D.
Welcome!
I am a teacher, parent, spouse, son and now therapist-in-training. I bring my knowledge of lifespan development (how people change and grow from infants to elders) to my therapeutic work.
During therapy, I will support you in becoming more flexible and comfortable in negotiating life’s challenges by using a variety of evidence-based techniques based on cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic theories. Couple and family counseling is also offered utilizing similar techniques. For younger children, there is an emphasis on play therapies.
Based on my varied experiences, I utilize approaches that are individualized for each person. I do my best to put myself in your shoes in order to deeply understand you and your life situation. Then we work together to find your voice. My goal is to support the adjustment of individuals so that they can live more fulfilled lives.
Please feel free to reach out. I know it can be hard to make the first step in getting support. I would love to chat with you to see if you think we are a good match for therapy. I am happy to work out a plan that works best for you. Free consultation, with no pressure or commitment. I am here to help and open to whatever works.
